Connect Facebook Ads to Grok and Grok Bot with AdChat

Add AdChat to Grok as a custom connector, or give your Grok Bot a Facebook ads skill, by pasting one URL. Ask about your Meta ads in plain English and let your bot keep an eye on them.

Updated November 3, 2026

Grok, xAI's assistant, can connect to MCP servers, the standard way to give AI apps new skills. AdChat is an MCP server for Meta ads. Add it to Grok and you can ask about your Facebook and Instagram ads in plain English, right in a Grok chat. Add it to a Grok Bot and the bot can check your ads as part of its regular work.

There are two places to add it. The URL is the same in both: https://mcp.adchat.app.

What you need

  • An AdChat account. Sign up, free for 7 days with no card. You can connect Facebook now or when you first sign in from Grok.
  • For Grok chat (grok.com): a Grok account. xAI's docs say connectors are available to all Grok users. On Business and Enterprise plans, an admin has to allow connectors first.
  • For Grok Bot: a plan that includes Grok Bot. When we checked in November 2026, that was xAI's paid plans, not Free.

Option 1: Add AdChat to Grok chat

  1. Go to grok.com/connectors.
  2. Click New Connector, then choose Custom.
  3. Paste https://mcp.adchat.app as the MCP server URL.
  4. Sign in to AdChat when Grok asks, and pick the ad accounts you want it to see.

Then start a chat and ask something like:

Using AdChat, how did my Facebook ads do last week? Which ad had the lowest cost per result?

Option 2: Give your Grok Bot a Facebook ads skill

Grok Bot supports the same MCP servers as Cursor. The quickest way to add one is to ask your bot:

Add a custom MCP server called adchat at https://mcp.adchat.app and start the sign-in.

Sign in to AdChat in the browser window that opens. After that, your bot can use AdChat's tools like any other skill. Things worth asking a bot to do:

  • "Every Monday, check my Meta ads for last week and send me the three numbers that matter and anything that looks wrong."
  • "Before I raise a budget, check the last 14 days of that ad set and tell me if it's still getting cheaper results."
  • "Write new versions of my best ad, but don't publish anything. Show me the drafts."

Sharing a bot template? Grok Bot templates copy a bot's instructions, skills and memories, but not custom MCP servers. If you share a Facebook ads bot, add a setup line to its instructions, like the prompt above, so each person who adds it connects their own AdChat account.

Safe by default

AdChat starts read-only. It can look at your campaigns, ad sets, ads and results, but it can't change anything until you turn on write access in your AdChat dashboard. With write access on, new campaigns, ad sets and ads start paused, so nothing spends until you switch it on. That matters more for a bot that runs on its own, so leave write access off until you trust what it suggests. More on safety.

If sign-in doesn't start

  • Grok says it can't reach the server. Check the URL is exactly https://mcp.adchat.app, with no trailing path.
  • The sign-in window never opens in Grok Bot. Grok Bot runs in the cloud. Some people have reported problems with OAuth sign-in for custom MCP servers there. Remove the server, add it again, and if it still fails, email [email protected] with what you saw. We'll look into it.
  • You see your ads in other apps but not in Grok. Each app signs in separately. Sign in from Grok and pick the same ad accounts.
