Use AdChat Without Claude or ChatGPT (Built-in Chat)

You don't need Claude, ChatGPT or any other AI app to use AdChat. Every account comes with a built-in chat on adchat.app. You connect your Facebook ad account, open the chat, and type your question in plain English. There's nothing to install and no settings to copy and paste.

How to start

1. Sign up for AdChat. The first 7 days are free, and you don't need a credit card.
2. In your dashboard, click Connect Facebook. Log in with Facebook and pick the ad accounts you want AdChat to see (up to 3).
3. Open Chat in your dashboard.
4. Ask a question.

That's it. Your first answer usually takes a few seconds, because AdChat pulls live data from Meta each time.

What to ask first

Start simple. These work well on day one:

How did my ads do this week compared to last week?

Which ad has the best cost per result right now, and which one is the worst?

Am I wasting money anywhere? Show me campaigns with spend but few or no results.

Explain my account to me like I'm new to Facebook ads. What's running, what does each campaign do, and what stands out?

You don't need to know the jargon. If the answer mentions something like CTR or frequency, just ask "What does that mean?" For more ideas, see Your first 10 questions to ask.

Making changes safely

The built-in chat can do more than read numbers. With write access on, it can pause campaigns, change budgets, create audiences and set up new campaigns. Several safety rails keep you in control:

• Read-only by default. Until you turn on Write Access in your dashboard, the chat can look but not change anything.
• It asks first. Before any change, the chat lists exactly what it will do (for example, "Pause campaign Spring Sale") and waits for you to say yes.
• New things start paused. Campaigns, ad sets and ads it creates are paused unless you clearly ask for them to go live, so you can check them in Ads Manager first.
• It only acts when you ask. There's no background mode. Nothing happens while you're not chatting.

Limits

The built-in chat includes 300 messages per month. That's plenty for a daily check-in and a few deeper sessions each week. If you need more, connect AdChat to your own AI app: use through Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and others is unlimited (with a rate limit of 30 requests per minute).

AdChat works with Meta ads only: Facebook and Instagram. It doesn't connect to Google, TikTok or other ad platforms.

Built-in chat vs your own AI app

Both are included in the same plan: $19 a month or $190 a year.

Troubleshooting

The chat says no ad accounts are connected. Go back to the dashboard, click Connect Facebook and make sure at least one ad account is selected.

It says it can't make a change. Write access is off. That's the safe default. Turn on Write Access in your dashboard if you want the chat to make changes.

Numbers look different from Ads Manager. Check the date range. Ask for the exact dates you're comparing, for example "from October 1 to October 7".

I've used my 300 messages. Your count resets on the 1st of each month. In the meantime, you can connect AdChat to Claude or another AI app.

FAQ

Do I need to know anything about AI? No. If you can send a text message, you can use it.

Can it see other people's ad accounts? Only the ad accounts you can manage in Ads Manager and choose to connect.

What happens after the free week? If you don't subscribe, your account and Facebook connection stay, and the tools pause until you do.
