About AdChat: Why I Built an AI Helper for Meta Ads

AdChat is a small, independent tool that lets you manage Facebook and Instagram ads by chatting with AI. Here's why I built it and how I run it.

Updated October 24, 2026

Hi, I'm Eric. I built AdChat, and I'm the person who runs it.

Why I built it

If you've ever opened Meta Ads Manager to answer one simple question, you know the feeling. Which ad is actually working? Why did my costs jump on Tuesday? Where is the setting I changed last month? The answers are in there somewhere, behind columns, filters, breakdowns and menus inside menus.

Big agencies have people whose whole job is clicking through that. Most small business owners, solo marketers and freelancers don't. They run ads on the side of everything else, and Ads Manager eats time they don't have. Beginners often give up before they get a useful answer at all.

Meanwhile, AI got good at exactly this kind of work. It can pull the numbers, compare them, spot what changed and explain it in plain words. What it was missing was a safe way into your ad account. So I built one.

What AdChat is

AdChat connects your Meta ad account, Facebook and Instagram, to AI. You ask in normal language and the AI does the clicking:

Which of my ads had the lowest cost per result last week, and why do you think that is?

You can use it two ways. If you already use Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or another AI app, you add AdChat to it as a connector. If you don't, you can chat right on adchat.app with no setup.

Under the hood it uses Meta's official Marketing API. AdChat is an approved Meta app, so it works on the ad accounts you already manage in Ads Manager.

How it's run

AdChat is small and independent. There's no big company behind it, which means I answer to the people who use it.

I read every email myself. If something breaks, if a feature is missing, or if you just can't figure out how to connect your account, write to me at [email protected]. You'll get a reply from me, not a ticket number.

What I believe

Safe defaults beat clever features. Your ad budget is real money. AdChat starts read-only, so it can look but not touch until you switch on write access. New campaigns, ad sets and ads are created paused. The built-in chat tells you exactly what it's about to change and waits for your yes. It never acts on its own. You can read the details on the security page.

Plain English, always. You shouldn't need to know what CPM or an Advantage+ audience is to understand how your ads are doing. If AdChat answers in jargon, it's failing.

One simple price. You get 7 days free with no credit card. After that it's $19 a month or $190 a year, with one plan that includes everything. No tiers to compare, no per-account surprises. See pricing.

Honest about limits. AdChat does Meta ads only. It doesn't do Google or TikTok yet, and it won't pretend to. If another tool fits you better, I'd rather you use that.
