Meta Ads MCP With Multiple Ad Accounts: How AdChat Handles It

Use one Meta Ads MCP connection with up to 3 Facebook ad accounts. How to pick accounts, name them in prompts, compare across them, and what fits agencies.

Updated October 24, 2026

Plenty of advertisers have more than one Meta ad account: a main business and a side project, two brands, or a couple of clients. AdChat lets one connection work with up to 3 ad accounts, so you can ask your AI about any of them, or all of them at once, from the same chat. This guide covers how accounts get connected, how to point the AI at the right one, and an honest note for agencies.

How many ad accounts can I use?

The AdChat plan includes up to 3 ad accounts. That limit counts across every Facebook login you connect, so you could connect your own login and a client's login and still use 3 accounts in total.

There is one plan, $19 a month or $190 a year after a 7-day free trial, and the 3-account allowance is part of it. If you need more, get in touch and tell us what you're working on.

How accounts get connected

  1. In your AdChat dashboard, click to connect Facebook.
  2. Log in and choose which ad accounts to share with AdChat in Facebook's dialog.
  3. If you share more than 3, AdChat keeps 3 and puts active accounts first. The dashboard tells you how many accounts from your Facebook login aren't connected.

You can only connect ad accounts your Facebook profile can already manage in Ads Manager. AdChat uses Meta's standard Marketing API, so any account you can work on there will work here. To swap accounts later, reconnect from the dashboard and choose again.

Pick a default account

In the dashboard, under your MCP settings, there's a Default ad account option. Leave it on "Auto (first connected)" or pick the account you use most. When a prompt doesn't say which account you mean, that's where the AI looks first. You can also set a Default date range there, such as the last 7 or 30 days.

Name the account in your prompt

The simplest way to avoid mix-ups is to say which account you mean. Use the account name as it appears in Ads Manager.

In my "Green Leaf Bakery" account, how did campaigns do over the last 7 days?

List my connected ad accounts with their names, currency and status.

Pause the ad set "Lookalike 1%" in the Studio Nine account. Nothing else.

If you're not sure what the accounts are called, ask for the list first. Before any change, it's worth asking the AI to confirm which account it's about to edit. In AdChat's built-in chat, the assistant shows the exact change and asks you to confirm before it writes anything.

Ask across accounts

Because all your accounts sit behind one connection, you can ask questions that span them. The AI fetches each account's results and puts them side by side.

Compare spend, purchases and cost per purchase across all my ad accounts for last month.

Which of my accounts has the most expensive cost per click this week, and why?

Give me a one-paragraph summary per account of what changed in the last 7 days.

Keep in mind the rate limit of 30 requests per minute. A big multi-account report may take the AI several tool calls, and in rare cases it may need to wait a few seconds and try again.

A note for agencies and freelancers

AdChat is built for one person working on their own ads, or a freelancer handling a small number of accounts. Be aware of what it doesn't do:

  • No team seats. Each AdChat account belongs to one person. There's no way to invite colleagues or share a connection.
  • No per-client permissions. Write access is a single on or off switch for your whole connection.
  • No SSO and no other ad platforms. It's Meta only.

If you look after 2 or 3 accounts yourself, it fits well. If you run a team managing many clients across several platforms, a tool built for agencies, such as Pipeboard, will likely suit you better. See our comparison of Meta Ads MCP servers.

FAQ

Can one AdChat connection work with several ad accounts?

Yes, up to 3 ad accounts in total, across all the Facebook logins you connect.

How do I make sure the AI changes the right account?

Name the account in your prompt, set a default account in the dashboard, and ask the AI to confirm the account before any change. AdChat is read-only until you turn on write access.

Can I compare results across my accounts?

Yes. Ask for a side-by-side report and the AI pulls results from each connected account.

Can my teammates use my AdChat account?

AdChat doesn't have team seats. Each account is for one person. Don't share your key: treat it like a password, and roll it in the dashboard if it leaks.
