AdChat's Meta Ads MCP server gives your AI assistant around 40 tools for Facebook and Instagram ads. You never have to type these names. You ask in plain English and the AI picks the right tool. This page lists every tool so you know exactly what's possible, which ones only read data, and which ones can make changes.
Read vs write
- Read tools look at your account. They work from the moment you connect.
- Write tools create, change or delete something. They stay locked until you turn on Write Access in your AdChat dashboard. Until then, they reply with a message asking you to switch it on.
There are 14 write tools. New campaigns, ad sets and ads they create start paused by default, unless you explicitly ask for them to go live. AdChat only acts when you ask.

What's not included
To keep expectations clear, AdChat does not offer bulk edits, campaign duplication, video upload, customer-list upload, other ad platforms, or automatic optimization that runs on its own. If you need one of these, tell us at [email protected].
FAQ
Do I need to remember the tool names?
No. Ask in normal language and the AI chooses the tools. The names are listed here only so you know what's possible.
Which tools can change my account?
The 14 marked "Write" above. They only work after you turn on write access in your dashboard.
Can the AI see my ad images?
It can fetch the images used in your ads. Whether the AI can actually look at an image depends on the AI app and model you use.
Can it upload videos?
No. It can use a video that's already in your ad account to build a creative, but it can't upload new videos.
Will new ads go live straight away?
No. New campaigns, ad sets and ads start paused by default. You turn them on, or explicitly ask the AI to create them active.
